Headache is a broad term that includes all pains that occur in any region of the
head. Some people experience pain on a single side of the head while some experience
it on both the sides. Sometimes pain can be felt only at the back of the head while
at other times the front of the head throbs in pain.
Headache can also present in varied ways. It could be sharp, dull or throbbing,
radiating from center to the periphery or vice versa of the head. It may appear
suddenly or increase gradually. For some it may last for an hour, for others, it
may last for weeks. Headaches normally start in pain-sensitive structures in or
around the brain, skull, face, sinuses, or teeth.
